Erin O Crosby, Ed.D.
After nearly two decades of leadership in the nonprofit sector and higher education, Dr. Erin O. Crosby sees radical belonging as a powerful catalyst for rectifying injustices and co-creating interconnected and thriving communities and systems. This perspective fuels her work as founder and managing director of etta mae collective, LLC. She launched the consultancy to transform the ways organizations, schools, communities, and cities understand and participate in community engagement and design–practices that strengthen or fracture social cohesion, cultural legacies, the built environment, and equitable outcomes. Dr. Crosby is a published writer. Her academic articles and op-eds have explored continuous improvement in community schools, racial equity, and abuse within faith communities. She holds a doctoral degree in PK-12 educational leadership from SMU, a master’s degree in print journalism from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from SMU.
