Description

Writing for Publication in Nursing: A Four-Part Virtual Workshop Series

Are you ready to amplify your professional voice, share your expertise, and contribute to the future of nursing? This four-part virtual workshop series is designed to support nurses at every level—staff nurses, educators, graduate students, emerging scholars, and nurse leaders—as they build confidence and competence in writing for publication.

Across four interactive sessions, participants will learn how to choose meaningful topics, match ideas to the right journals, structure manuscripts effectively, strengthen writing and revision skills, and navigate the submission and peer-review process with professionalism and clarity. Each session blends evidence-informed instruction, guided activities, workbook resources, and real-world examples drawn from nursing literature. Whether you are writing your first article or seeking to refine your scholarly voice, this series provides the tools and mentorship to get your work published.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify publication-ready topics and appropriate outlets
  • Apply the IMRAD, QI/SQUIRE, and narrative structures
  • Improve clarity, conciseness, and overall writing quality
  • Respond to reviewers, avoid predatory journals, and prepare a strong submission package
  • Build momentum through writing strategies, templates, and guided exercises

By the end of this series, you’ll walk away with a mapped topic, a working outline, a revised manuscript section, and a polished draft cover letter—clear steps forward on your path to publication. Join us and take your nursing expertise from practice to print.
