Description

Ready to take your nursing expertise from the bedside to the page? This two-session virtual intensive combines the full content of our four-part writing workshop into two engaging, fast-paced modules that provide nurses with the essential tools to begin and advance their writing for publication.

Session One combines the first two modules, guiding participants through selecting publication-worthy topics, identifying the right journals, and choosing the best manuscript structure—whether IMRAD, QI/SQUIRE, or narrative. Session Two blends’ modules three and four, focusing on building strong writing habits, improving clarity and flow, revising effectively, and navigating submission and peer review with confidence. Each session includes interactive activities, guided workbook exercises, and practical strategies grounded in nursing writing scholarship.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify publication-ready topics and appropriate outlets
  • Apply the IMRAD, QI/SQUIRE, and narrative structures
  • Improve clarity, conciseness, and overall writing quality
  • Respond to reviewers, avoid predatory journals, and prepare a strong submission package
  • Build momentum through writing strategies, templates, and guided exercises

Participants will leave this two-session series with a mapped topic, a working outline, a revised manuscript section, and a draft cover letter, everything needed to begin or continue their writing journey. Join us to elevate your professional voice and contribute to the advancement of nursing.
