Kayla Davis
Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies
Kayla Davis is a research specialist for the Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies (TCNWS) in the Center for Health Statistics at the Department of State Health Services. She has been with the Center for Nursing Workforce Studies since May 2020.
During her time with TCNWS and the Center for Health Statistics she has done research on nursing education, nurse staffing, supply and demand of nurses, and nursing demographics. She has also volunteered with the COVID data dissemination team to provide the state with daily updates on the pandemic.
Kayla has an undergraduate degree in anthropology from East Tennessee State University and Master’s degree in applied anthropology from the University of North Texas.
