George Gooch is the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Health Services Authority (THSA), a public-private partnership responsible for the private and secure exchange of electronic health information in the State of Texas. As part of his duties at the THSA, George manages the state’s health information exchange program, known as “HIETexas,” as well as its privacy and security certification program, known as “SECURETexas.” George is a data privacy professional and attorney, holding multiple privacy certifications in healthcare and consumer privacy. George also serves on the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s eHealth Advisory Committee (eHAC). George lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and daughter.
