Kit Bredimus, DNP, RN, CNML, NE-BC, CENP, NEA-BC, FACHE, FAONL, FNAP, is the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President, Nursing at Midland Memorial Hospital. Bredimus holds a BSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch and received his MSN and DNP from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Bredimus is a nationally recognized nurse leader through his various presentations, podcasts, and publications. Bredimus was named a 2020 “Newsmaker of the year” and a Texas Nurses Association’s 2020 “Year of the Nurse” Award winner for his advocacy work during the COVID pandemic.
Nationally, Kit is a Modern Healthcare Rising Star in Nursing Award winner, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership Early Careerist Award winner, and a finalist for Nursing Management’s Hader Visionary Nurse Leader Award. Becker’s Hospital Review named Bredimus a Rising Star and CNO to Know. Kit is a credentialed Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization for Nursing Leadership, and the National Academies of Practice in Nursing, and holds multiple board certifications in nursing management and executive leadership.
