In September 2023, the wound care department faced critical challenges, including productivity shortfalls, inconsistent practices, and low team engagement. This session will explore how a leadership-driven, multidisciplinary initiative transformed a struggling team into a top-performing unit within 15 months. Guided by Transformational Leadership Theory, Lewin’s Change Management Model, Evidence-Based Practice, and Continuous Quality Improvement principles, the initiative addressed workflow inefficiencies, professional development gaps, and cultural fragmentation.
Attendees will learn how targeted leadership strategies—such as unit-based nurse assignments, structured mentorship, recognition programs, and collaborative communication—fostered a culture of trust, accountability, and professional growth. The session will also highlight measurable outcomes, including a 98% employee engagement score, dramatic improvements in team performance metrics, and enhanced patient care delivery through improved interdisciplinary collaboration.
Participants will leave with practical tools and replicable strategies to identify gaps, engage staff, and align professional development with operational success. This presentation is ideal for nurse leaders, wound care specialists, and healthcare professionals seeking to create high-performing teams and drive sustainable improvement in clinical practice.
